So here’s Long Haul, the much maligned member of the Constructicons. Devastator will be out in stores 1 August for $299.90, but Hasbro kindly sent him over to demolish my house!
He really is the largest of the Constructicons, although canonically he isn’t the leader (Scrapper is).
He’s chunky, and kind of reminds me of Energon Demolishor, in that they both share the alternate mode.
Maybe all dump truck Transformers will suffer the fate of having squat, stocky bodies.
Nevertheless, he still cuts an imposing figure, with or without his fellow Constructicons.
His alternate mode is just as large and stock as he is.
But since he’s not a shellformer, his alternate mode is just as large as his bot mode.
You can’t really have him shovel rubbish away (why would you?! he’s a toy), but you can put other Decepticons on his back.
His engines and back are nicely detailed though.
And here’s his front grill! His alternate mode is really massive (which kind of accounts for Devastator’s size, no?).
So I’ll be reviewing the rest of the Constructicons through the week, and Devastator too!
Watch out for the next review tomorrow!
