(Note: I’ve started Happiness for Busy People!)
Emotional literacy and awareness is critical.
Nobody doubts that.
And there’s a wealth of resources about emotional literacy.
But have you read material by all those so-called emotional gurus?
“Touch the table. What does it say? That’s what your heart is telling you.”
Are you for real? Can it get more woo-woo than this? Am I not busy enough?
There’s the classic.
“Be quiet. Listen to your heart. You know deep down what it is saying to you.”
Can you be more vague please? Because I have so much time to waste?
And of course, my perennial favourite.
“I’m not feeling it today. So I didn’t do it. And that’s okay.”
Can you imagine a surgeon saying this? How irresponsible is it to sanction unreliability?
But you can learn emotional literacy with practical advice.
You can learn emotional awareness with step-by-step instructions.
And you can still be responsible.
When you’re friends with your emotions, you can:
- do more
- achieve more
- be more
And be the best version of yourself – in a practical and productive way.
I’ll show you how.
