Warlord (Predaking), the combined form of the Beasticons (Predacons)
5-Voyager Sized Combiner (approximately)
Unique Toys
Price: $550-$700 (secondary market, approximately)
Should you buy him at $500? Yes!
Should you buy him, no matter the price? $650 should be your upper limit.
I’m not entirely sure why Predaking has become everybody’s favourite combiner. Possibly because of Season 3 of Transformers: Prime, where that version of Predaking was featured prominently.
And since then, we’ve got another G1 reissue of Predaking, the Kre-O version, a homage in the form of the Cyberverse monster combiner Abominus, and three third-party versions of Predaking.
Woah.
This is the first third party version to be released, and the general sentiment is that he’s the best priced of the three versions. Aesthetically, from online sentiment again, he’s middle of the line.
I like playing with him. He’s big, fun, durable, although not superbly stable as a combiner (then again, which combiner is that stable?). He scales well with CHURG (Classics Henkei United Reveal the Shield Generations) figures, and is massive enough to present a credible threat to the Autobots.
Here we go!

Ironhead (Headstrong) Robot Mode with Cannons
That’s actually his footpiece. I find it cute that it’s his butt mounted cannon, although I can’t remember if the original Headstrong does it too.

Savagebull (Tantrum) Beast Mode with Cannon
I think the cannon on the back thing works better with Savagebull (Tantrum).

And if the individual members aren’t enough, here’s some group shots of the Predacons!

Wings and armour for Warlord (Predaking)
Yes, he doesn’t actually utilise Warhawk (Divebomb)’s wings! It would be difficult to make something in scale for both a combiner and one of his components, don’t you think?
Guns for Predaking
Predaking’s sword
Which is a much better idea than giving him one of his component’s members swords, IMHO.

Are you ready to see how they combine?

Predaking vs Devastator
Who does Megatron love more?
In any case, if you can find Predaking below $650, go for it. I think he’s a worthwhile investment. His wings are pretty sharp and he’s a big, big toy you can play with for quite a while.
