So, Batman’s been around for 75 years – and as with all major milestones in life (like 16, 18, 21, 35, 40, then all multiples of 5 thereafter) it’s time to celebrate!
In Singapore, the launch was done at the Highlander pub.
They dressed up the place with a Batman theme, and one of the phototaking highlights was the entrance.
Famous comic book covers plastered the inside, though it was a little too dark to see. I didn’t see the Killing Joke or the Bane breaking Batman’s back, but perhaps I didn’t look too hard.
They even had an app that played a big part in their event! Random places around the pub trigger a reaction on your app, causing different Batman characters to appear in the camera. This let you take a selfie with them. I wasn’t too successful with it though, sigh.
But I did manage to take a photo at the stand.
And many other photos with Batman himself there too!
The announcements were pretty nifty – mainly tie ups with Sentosa and Singpost. Here are some of the slides I managed to catch.
I really want the limited edition Justice League collectibles. But no news of a new toyline – guess they’re going strong with the Injustice: Gods Among Us 3.75″ line!
So my Batman figures came for a visit…
I took pictures of the Red Hood but forgot about Joker. Sigh.
So there you go! The Batman 75 launch. Watch out for all the limited edition merchandise soon, hopefully there aren’t any crazies who’ll spam Facebook Pages about their disappointment at picking these up.
Happy 75th birthday, Batman!
