Omega Supreme made his debut at the Transformers Fans’ Preview session at Hasbro Singapore‘s offices on Wed (28 Aug), much to the surprise and delight of the fans who were at the session. The Titan class figure is the figure that fans have been most looking forward to from the Transformers: War for Cybertron – Siege line, having been teased in the promotional artwork when the line first debuted.
The Transformers Fans’ Preview sessions by Hasbro Singapore have been hotly anticipated by members of the Transformers community who have attended, and Wednesday’s session was no different. Besides giving fans a free play and photography session with the mammoth Omega Supreme himself, this third session introduced a speed transformation contest to determine the lucky winner who would bring home the greatly coveted figure.
Planet Iacon and its associates were kindly invited to the event, along with several other esteemed guests of Hasbro Singapore.
Hasbro Brand Manager Jiang Haipan opened the session with a keynote address on the premise of the Transformers: War for Cybertron – Siege premise, which features the Autobots and Decepticons in their epic and desperate war for control of their home planet, Cybertron. The line consists of Transformers with an all new twist – they all transform into Cybertronian alternate modes, to reflect their alien origins. Jiang also whetted fans’ appetites with the announcement of a new Transformers Netflix show coming in 2020, as well as the celebration of the Transformers’ 35th Anniversary with exclusive figures and an event at Takashimaya.
A Facebook Live presentation followed on Planet Iacon’s Facebook Page to showcase the figures that everyone was anticipating – including, of course, Omega Supreme.
A free play and photography session commenced thereafter, with upcoming figures from the Transformers: War for Cybertron – Siege line.

The session was capped by a speed transformation contest, which saw attendees racing transform Classic Animation Optimus Prime as quickly as they could – with Omega Supreme at stake.
The winner with the most dextrous fingers took home Omega Supreme – Lin Yang Ming.
When polled about which figure that fans were most excited to see at the session, the answer was unanimous.
“It’s definitely Omega Supreme,” said Jeff Ten.
He was the most desired item there, and everyone was definitely going to get him (some would even get two!) when he was out at retail.
But the other surprise hit was the Refraktor Reconnaissance Team 3-Pack, with its novel packaging.
“Reflector’s packaging and its 3D effects are eyecatching, especially with the crosshairs on the viewfinder on the box,” said Yew Wei Chong.
“It makes you want to collect the box as well, instead of throwing it away.”
The night ended with a phototaking session (of humans, this time), as each guest got to bring home one of the figures that was displayed.
