Dinobots Unleashed 5-Pack
2 Voyagers (Grimlock & Slog) & 3 Deluxes (Slug, Strafe, Scorn)
Platinum Edition
Transformers: Age of Extinction
MSRP: $199.90
Should you buy him at full price? Yes.
Should you buy him at full price plus 20%? If you bought the SDCC 2014 G1-Coloured Dinobots, then of course!
It’s here! Not only are they movie accurate (well, as movie accurate as you can get without being all dull grey metal), but they also come in a giftset! No need to hunt down each movie accurate Dinobot – it’s all here in this giftset!
I must have waited an eternity for this. It was slated to come out some time in November, but it got delayed. Probably to hit the Christmas crowd – who wouldn’t buy this beauty right?
The Dinobots are all coloured in chrome with a dirt wash, as well as several translucent parents. So they’re both clear, and chrome!
The box art is pretty impressive, although I do believe they’ve just Photoshopped all the individual Dinobots together. Still, it’s pretty!
Just in case you don’t know what you’re getting.
So they couldn’t get the trademark on “Slug.”
Excited? WYSIWYG! Plus a sheet of instructions, but come on, do you need them?
GRIMLOCK
The Dinobot leader almost looks like he’s the Nemesis version, doesn’t he? No? Maybe I’m fooling myself then.
You can see the detailing and the dirty wash on his feet.
As well as the weathering on his back.
Robot mode ain’t no slouch either.
Check out the paintjob!
Even his tail is detailed.
SLOG
Slog looks as Megazord-y as ever.
You wouldn’t really notice this unless you looked really closely – but they painted it anyway.
They did the ridges on his waist too.
And here we have his Carrier Zord dinosaur mode!
Even his translucent head is painted!
Not to mention his thunder trotters.
STRAFE
I decided to give Strafe one melee and one ranged weapon.
Wing front.
Wing back. Check out his Autobot symbol!
Top view of Strafe.
Side view of the pterodactyl.
SLUG
Slug’s robot mode uses some purple highlights.
Slug’s shoulders.
Slug’s shoulders again.
Slug’s ready to ram!
All that paint weathering detail on him!
SCORN
Scorn still sports his asymmetrical look.
Nifty details on the back!
Scorn’s ready to devour!
More amazing detail on Scorn’s torso.
COMPARISON SHOTS
So of course, I compared these movie accurate Dinobots with my other Dinobots.
Dinobots Unleashed might not be the most value for money pack, but it’s certainly the best set of Dinobots you can get, especially if you’re an Age of Extinction fan. Imagine the possibilities with an army of Dinobots at your disposal!
