To honour one of the most iconic characters in Star Wars (and one of the most memorable and strongest female characters in film), Legoland Malaysia will be holding a commemorative session for Princess Leia.
Star Wars Day falls on May the Fourth this year (it falls on May the Fourth every year, by the way), which is a Thursday. But it’s not just a one day event at Legoland Malaysia, which is hosting Lego Stars Wars Days! The activities start on the weekend of 29 April (that’s this Saturday, friends) all the way until 31 May. That means:
- 29 – 30 Apr
- 6 – 7 May
- 13 – 14 May
- 20 – 21 May
- 27 – 28 May
So what can you look forward to at Lego Star Wars Days this 2017?
Here are 10 quests you can embark on at the event.
1. Princess Leia commemorative session
Details will be revealed later, but a session dedicated to Princess Leia Organa will be held on one of the weekends! You can pay tribute to Kylo Ren’s mother by being in attendance at this time limited event.
2. The largest Lego Star Wars Miniland Model Display in Asia
It’s the only one of its kind in Asia, and took over 1,500,000 Lego bricks to build! It is made up of seven rooms that depict key scenes from Star Wars. You won’t get better cinematics than this!
3. Over 100 Star Wars characters in an Imperial March (13 – 14 May only)
Both the 501st Legion (Singapore) and the Rebel Legion (Malaysia) will be joining forces to create an epic squadron of Star Wars characters! Optional sidequest: join in the Imperial March for bonus XP!
4. Dancing Star Wars characters
Even Lego Darth Vader will be dancing, and other characters like the Jedi Knights, Stormtroopers, and Princess Leia herself will be all over the park for plenty of photo ops. Unleash your inner Prompto!
5. Star Wars Trivia Hunt
Take part in a real-life fetch quest with this scavenger hunt!
6. Spot the Stormtrooper on the Model Citizens
Where’s Wolffe? Okay technically he’s a Clone Trooper and not a Stormtrooper, but if you can spot them you can redeem a mystery prize at the admission counter. It’s a nifty sidequest to embark on!
7. Receive a Legoland Jedi Academy Certificate
You can be a certified Lego Jedi at the Jedi Academy. Achievement unlocked and 10% completion when you get one!
8. Complete the Legoland Star Wars Passport
All younger guests can collect Legoland Star Wars Passport from Lego Star Wars activities like a giant R2-D2 build, Star Wars World build, Trivia Hunt, Jedi Academy, and Speed Building competition. So if you complete it, you’ll get a commemorative brick! Not sure if it’ll be a Gold Brick though. But hey nifty quest item to have!
9. Contribute to the Lego Star Wars mural
If you’re a Legoland Hotel guest, you can contribute to the Lego Star Wars mural, which means you can check off Achievement: Built Lego Star Wars Mural.
Prizes for the fastest builder at the media event for Lego Star Wars Day 2017.
10. Speed Building competition
Join in a Speed Building competition to see if you’re as good as a Master Builder! Speed is of the essence here, so how fast can you lay those bricks?
Completing all 10 quests gives you bragging rights for Lego Star Wars Day 2017. Whether or not you can complete it, however, depends on how attuned you are with the Force.
So May the Fourth be with you this Star Wars Day.
