Everyone knows Crimewatch, and I had the privilege of writing for them starting from their 2015 season. It was quite a blast going through police cases which were written in very factual, but very dry language, and turning them into exciting stories for television. Learnt quite a bit about police procedure and some acronyms!
I’m in my tenth year of Crimewatch (2024 at the time of writing) and I’m very grateful for the trust that the Singapore Police Force has put in me, the leeway they’ve given me in coming up with ideas and storylines, and their kindness in accommodating my schedule requests. Of course, I’m also glad to be working with my Mediacorp ex-colleagues (though technically they’re colleagues now, right) again for this show – and to have seen them grow as individuals, too.
