Evac leaps in heroically to shield Straxus from an otherwise fatal attack.
Straxus: “Evac!”
A rage-filled Straxus mows down the remaining Terrorcons.
And with this next task accomplished…
Straxus gains the Scythe of Skullgrin!
Straxus: “May this heal you.”
Evac: “I’m back! I’m back! I’m back! I’m back! I’m – “
Straxus: “Shut up.”
Evac: “I saved your life you know.”
Straxus: “And I repaid the favour.”
Evac. “Because we’re friends.”
Straxus: “…”
Evac: “We’re best friends! Right?”
Straxus: “…”
Evac: “You know it, I know it, we both know it!”
But their defeat of the Dark Energon zombies has unleashed another evil…
Meanwhile, the Fallen leads the Emperors of Destruction to the grave of an ancient Transformer god…
Unicron.
Scorponok: “That thing’s draining my Energon!”
Overlord: “Get off me!”
The Fallen and the Unicrons quickly dispatch the rest of the Emperors of Destruction, draining their Energon…
And channelling it to Unicron!
The Fallen: “Lord Unicron! Rise once more!”
The Fallen: “Unicron? Why aren’t you – “
The Fallen: “Gahhhhh!”
Unicron: “Now I am sated. And Unicron rises once more!“
Straxus returns home, enjoying his time in the spotlight.
He pulls out the Vault of Primus, and prepares to fulfill the final part of the prophecy.
Straxus: “Touching the Vault of Primus with the two Scythes will give me the power I need to defeat Megatron!”
And lo! Brave Maximus arises!
Straxus: “It’s not an illusion this time!”
Evac: “I’ll save you!”
Evac: “Off with you, Headmaster!”
Intuitively, Evac merges with rest of the body to become…
Evac Maximus!
Straxus: “Onwards, my army! We shall henceforht be known as… the Destrons!”
And so war is announced.
Megatron: “Control of the Decepticons is not so easily wrested, Straxus.”
Straxus: “We’ll see about that.”
Megatron: “You are not the first to have challenged me, and you will not be the last.”
Straxus: “Ugh! I would give anything to defeat Megatron and tear that smug smirk off his face!”
Evac: “Well, not anything, right?”
Straxus: “Anything!”
Evac: “Even our friendship?”
Straxis: “I…”
Evac: “… never mind.”
And so the next day, the battle for the Decepticons begins!
Straxus: “Goodbye, Megatron!”
Megatron: “You are no Prime. You don’t deserve any homage-worthy quotes.”
It’s Straxus’ Destrons vs Megatron’s Decepticons!
Megatron: “Decepticons, transform and rise up!”
Straxus: “Destrons! To victory!”
Evac Maximus makes quick work of the Decepticons.
While the rest of the Destrons dogpile Megatron!
Straxus: “At last! Victory is mine!”
Unicron: “Not quite. Have you forgotten your benefactor?“
Straxus: “You! The one from my dreams!”
Unicron: “I am Unicron, and your petty quest for power has led to my rebi – “
Evac Maximus wastes no time in grabbing Unicron…
And piledriving him into the floor!
Straxus: “Once again, victory is ours!”
But wait…
Unicron is not offline…
And he joins forces with Megatron…
To sneak attack Evac Maximus!
Unicron: “I am not so easily felled!“
Evac Maximus: “Ah!”
Evac: “Caught me… off guard…”
G2 Devastator: “I will put you down for good, Unicron!”
G2 Devastator blasts Unicron’s head off.
G2 Devastator: “Gahhh!”
With the last of his strength, Unicron rips off G2 Devastator’s arm.
Unicron: “I… still… function!“
Unicron: “Away with you!“
Unicron’s dismembered head moves with astonishing speed!
And fuses with the Maximus to become Unicron Maximus!
Evac: “Straxus! Help!”
Straxus: “I’ll blast off Unicron’s head!”
Evac: “But he’ll find a way to take control of the Maximus again!”
Straxus: “Then what do I do?”
Evac: “You have to destroy Brave Maximus! Before he destroys everything else!”
Straxus: “But without Brave Maximus, I won’t be able to cement my control over the Decepticons!”
Evac: “Straxus, help!”
Straxus: “Evac!”
Straxus: “Has it come down to this? Must I really choose between my ambition and my friend?”
Unicron Maximus: “Enough prattling, insects!“
Straxus: “A cannon that got knocked off from Brave Maximus! This will contain the firepower I need!”
Straxus: “Begone, Unicron!”
Unicron Maximus: “I will return to possess this body no matter how many times you destroy me!“
Straxus: “I know. Which is why I’m destroying it.”
Straxus: “Evac! Hang on!”
Straxus: “I got you!”
Straxus: “Ugh! My hand! It’s stuck!”
Unicron Maximus: “Fool! If this body dies, you will die with it!“
Straxus: “If my arm is stopping my escape…”
Straxus: “Then I’ll just have to…”
Straxus: “Do without it!”
Unicron Maximus: “What? No!“
And so Unicron perishes, buried under the remnants of Brave Maximus.
Straxus: “Ouch. That hurts.”
Evac: “You gave up Brave Maximus for me!”
“
Straxus: “Ugh… ssshhh…”
Evac: “You gave up your arm for me!”
Straxus: “Can you just get me to a repair bay?”
Evac: “You gave up your ambition for me!”
Evac: “We’re really best friends!”
Straxus: “…”
Evac: “See! Best friends don’t ever have to say anything to each other!”
Straxus:”In that case, shut up. I know a place in Darkmount where I can recuperate.”
And so ends the tale of Straxus. History will remember him as a warlord, but you and I know better.
